Regression

Published October 27, 2013 by Amy Elizabeth

Flip the switch of another moment,

Destroy the beauty again.

It’s so easy to break what’s been

Broken before,

And to empty what has barely been filled.

Touch it,

Watch it come crumbling down,

And fall to pieces around you.

Like ash,

It creates itself,

In flame.

It scatters the ground,

Covering the foundations,

Embracing the very thing it sought to

Withstand,

And closing a previously

Open mind.
