Free Fall

Published October 29, 2013 by Amy Elizabeth

Pull me back from the edge,
Just let me fall,
I beg of you.

I can’t feel my feet,
Or my mind,
Or my dreams.

You’ve taken them,
Without knowing,
That the stars above our heads,
Faint in the sight of my tears.

The oxygen that scours my lungs
Won’t desire any longer,
Because it knows it’s lost.

But it’s not sad.
My eyes aren’t blind anymore,
And neither are my fears.

It’s time to be free.

So pull me back,
But let me fly,
I beg of you.
