Do you walk in the wake of despair,
Or do you claim the freedom
Lost beneath the truth you were too proud to uncover.
All she did was search,
For you.
In every dark corner,
In every blackened sky,
You were there…
You were hers.
The glare of others;
Never distinguished your light,
Because you were blind.
And so was she.
But now, too scared to look
For the fear that that world will come
Crashing
Down before those eyes
She once happily drowned in,
She holds her breath…
And discovers,
That the water was nothing more
Than lies.
